Very Bad Night Last Night!!!!!!!!!!

rn
I had my first bad night last night. Not that I ate bad or anything like that, but I just think all my pushing it finally caught up with me. I mean I am in no way anorexic or anything but I am jsut really sticking hard to my diet and after looking back over the last couple of days I have had only less than 1,000 calories a day. i guess when you are eating pretty much all salad and sugar free jello, it just doesn’t make the numbers.
So I had no energy yesterday!!! I went to Curves and pretty much passed out. I barely made it through. I wanted to go to the gym afterward but I just couldn’t. I was litterally on the couch crying becuase I was so upset that I couldn’t get in my full work out. Thank God for my sister!!! I called her and she gave me some great advice about ways to get my calories up without adding alot of fat and carbs, which I am watching. She (and my boyfriend) feels that I am just going to extreme and this was my bodies way of saying somehtign hasto give. Either give me more food, or do less in the gym. So I was pretty discouraged last night. my mind is there and pumped and ready to work out, and my body won’t let me. Soooo, I am going to lessen my diet restrictions a little bit, and get some good vitamins to hopefully get my energy level up. Hopefully I can still get in soem good work outs the rest fo the week, and get some weight loss in for the week. GO JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you need some protein for energy…. that will get you through even on low calories… otherwise your body just consumes your muscles instead of fat.
It sounds as though you understood exactly what your body was telling you. Food is fuel, and to go without it is like trying to run your car without gas. When your car runs out of gas it just stops, and so does your body. You don’t have to starve to lose weight, so please don’t do that to yourself. It sounds as though you are very motivated, so keep up the good work. Sometimes it’s just trial and error, and it sounds like you are on the right track. Keep up the good work!
Thanks guys. I did just want to add that I have not been starving myself. i hope that is not the impression I am giving. I am eating three meals a day and two snacks. I was just trying to watch calories, fat and carbs, doing 2,000 calories, less than 25 fat grams and less than 25 carbs, btu it was just too much. Everyone says I have to choose 1 of those 3 and go by that, maybe 2, but I can’t do all three anymore, it just doesn’t leave really anything of substance to eat!! I am still on track and I will still make it to my goal of 100 pounds down by December!!! This is just a minor set back. Thanks for all the support everyone!!!!!!!!!

Toni; you don’t have to push yourself so hard sweetie; trust me I know. I worked out like crazy and lost a pound but found myself I am still the best me as you are! You are a wonderful person and it will happen! Take it slow and try some slimfast drinks and bars they have protein and give you energy. My GOD I don’t want anything to happen to you! It will happen and all of my buddies and I will have a big celebration!!! TRUST ME THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!! Keep with the workouts and don’t forget to drink your water at least 8 glasses! Everything will be okay!!!
I’m sorry to hear about your struggle, but you can do this Toni!! If you up your calories and drink lots of water, I’m sure your body will rebound just fine. Remember….it didn’t go on at once and it won’t come off at once. It’s just more reasonable to stick with a caloric intake that your body can handle and that you can maintain than to cut your calories so much that you don’t have enough fuel to survive.
You are doing a fabulous job! We’ll be seeing less of you in no time.
You’re pushing yourself too hard. Don’t ever go below 1,500 calories and you may need to talk to a dietician cause you probably need more than that cause of all the exercise you do. You push yourself extremely hard and yes its great to push yourself to the limits but don’t overdo it, try giving yourself a day to rest now and then to let your body relax a little. Making so many changes takes time so don’t ever get discouraged you have made a lot of progress already and you are sticking right with it so be proud of that and celebrate it.
Thanks for all the great advice everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I will take it, becuase I am addimate about doing this the right way!!!!!!!!!!! AND I WILL!!!!!
GIRL YOU SHOULD FEEL GOOD WHEN YOU ARE WORKING OUT AND HAVE MORE ENERGY…TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF…YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR CALORIES UP .. YOUR BODY WILL FIGHT YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AND IT WILL WIN…
Toni, please don’t push so hard. It will come off. You need to eat more and get those calories up. You are not doing yourself any good by eating the way you are. Your body will go into starvation mode and what that will do to your body is not good. Listen to what your body is screaming at you to hear.
I do know I just had my dr appt yesterday, and she said for health reasons you should never go below 1200 calories a day. Sounds like you are not giving yourself enough fuel which will eventually cause your body to hang on to every calorie and will be in starvation mode. Try increasing your intake, that should help, and you will feel better, too!
